Stephen G. Pereira and Associates is proud to announce starting the first Robotic Surgery Fellowship in general surgery in the United States. On August 1, 2015 our very first Fellow began our training program in robotic surgery. The Fellowship is a one-year training program offered to candidates who have completed a five-year surgery residency and wish to specialize in robotic surgery. We received applicants from around the country. The Fellow spends one year exclusively assisting in robotic surgeries and learning robotic surgical techniques from a curriculum developed by Drs. Stephen Pereira, Adam Rosenstock, and George Mazpule. The goal of the Fellowship is to train future surgeons in advanced techniques of robotic surgery so more patients can benefit from the advantages provided by robotic surgery.
